I have a class is FYS-159. This lesson is
a course on tourism research in the Far East. In this lesson I used both
audience and purpose. I think these two aspects are very useful for this
lesson.
In this lesson we have a task to do a
research on tourism in Japan. We need to find relevant articles and information
and analyze them, and most of all we need to perform a group display. Our first
phase went well because our goals were clear. Our goal is to introduce the
reasons why tourists choose to travel to Japan, so we started looking for the
advantages of Japanese tourism in Asia. I think this is the first connection
between this class and cad. I know the importance of goals and how to use the
keywords in the goals to find the resources needed. No doubt this is a very
practical part. We found a lot of articles and information that we could use,
and then we selected what we needed and what fit our display focus. These make
us more efficient, and at the same time I believe that our display content will
be more in line with the theme.
After we selected the content and
resources, we started making ppt. At this time I discovered the role of the
audience. Our audience is our classmates. First of all, they are not
professional scholars, so our display is important to explain the unfamiliar
vocabulary as much as possible, and use pictures to show some content. Pictures
are the most intuitive information. Secondly, they are the same age as us, so
when we show, we should choose as much as possible to introduce to young
people.
This is our PPT, we chose topics that fit
our classmates' interests, and we used a lot of pictures to show them.
